Hello everyone!
My name is Cait Carr and I am the Pine Island district social worker. I joined this district in 2021. I serve students from Pre K through Grade 12 and help them lead healthy and happy lives.
I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the College of Saint Benedict / Saint John’s University and my Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. Prior to this position, I worked at Mayo Clinic for 7 years as a clinical social worker and psychotherapist working with children, teens, adults, and families. I specialized in a number of topics, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, and relationship difficulties.
I help students in many ways, including individual counseling support, group counseling, and social emotional learning classes. I support families with navigating resources they need, such as food, clothing, housing, and therapeutic support. I also work closely with students who are having a hard time getting to and staying in school to help them get back on-track and have a positive academic experience.
I am so happy to be a part of the Pine Island team and look forward to working with you!
