Hi
everyone! I am a special education teacher here at
Pine Island Schools! I have been a teacher for over 20 years and taught
the majority of those years at a middle school in Rochester. Now, I have the pleasure of teaching students in grades 5-12. I thoroughly enjoy teaching in Pine Island and being a part of this amazing staff and community!
I grew up in Rochester and graduated from John Marshall High School. My
senior year of high school, I was voted most likely to be a Rochester school
teacher. I think it's safe to say that I feel teaching was my calling.
After that, I received my Bachelor's Degree from St. Cloud State
University in Special Education and my Master's Degree from the University of Minnesota in Special Education.
I have two children, Mariah and Joshua. In my
free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and running. I started
running in 2003 and ran my first marathon in 2007. I have completed several marathons and hope to
keep running for a very long time!
I love being a teacher in Pine Island and helping
the students of Pine Island Schools be the best they can be!
