Pine Island Community Education was established in 1972 by a group of local individuals interested in having our school available for adult/student activities.
Community Education is funded with state and local monies. It's immediate governing board is an Advisory Council, consisting of representatives from and parents from the community. This board, in turn, answers to the local school board. Community education has expanded since 1972 to include many varied programs such as:
Adult Education Evening Classes
Winter and Summer Recreation
Early Childhood Family Education and School Readiness
Panther Pals / Panther Cubs Childcare
