You’re invited to our annual breakfast with Santa event! Guests will enjoy a delicious Belgian waffle breakfast, festive cookie decorating, a visit with Santa, and live holiday music from our talented High School Choir and Orchestra. 🎅🎄

The MHS Advisor, Tom Horner and the four MHS executive board leaders: Ellen Stapleton, Miley Hoffarth, Landon Lowrie, and Allie Fleener, all facilitated the ceremony.

The holiday season is a time for giving, and we invite you to make a difference in the lives of Pine Island students by participating in our annual Toy/Gift Drive! This is an opportunity to bring joy and smiles to children who might not otherwise have gifts to open this season.
How You Can Help:
*Donate New, Unwrapped Toys: Bring toys of all kinds - from educational toys to fun games, sporting equipment, books and stuffed animals. Every contribution counts!
*Drop-Off Locations: At all Pine Island school buildings as well as Hardware Hank, City Hall, Island Market, Frandsen Bank & Trust, and United Methodist Church.
Deadline for Donations: Saturday, December 6th.
Whether you’re donating a single toy or gathering a collection, your generosity will help make the holidays brighter for children in our community. No contribution is too small-together, we can make a big impact!
Let’s Share the Joy of Giving!
If you have any questions or need more information, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Pine Island Community Education Office at 507-356-8876 or email communityed@pineisland.k12.mn.us. Thank-you for helping us make this season a little brighter for our local children and families!

November 13th is National Community Education Day — a special time to recognize the joy of lifelong learning and the amazing educators who make it all possible! 💡❤️
To celebrate, we’re inviting all students to color this page and show off their creativity! 🖍️✨
🎨 Here’s how to join the fun:
1️⃣ Color your page any way you like — be as creative as you can!
2️⃣ Bring your finished masterpiece back to your classroom teacher by November 13th.
3️⃣ We’ll display everyone’s artwork to celebrate our community of learners! 🌈
Let’s fill our classrooms with color, creativity, and the spirit of learning together. 💫

The Middle School Conservation Crew is off to a great start!
We've got a great group of 5-8 graders who are eager to make positive change for people, for animals, and for the environment!
Our students have partnered with the High School Roots and Shoots Environmental Club and helped with the Football Clean-up after last Saturday's home game and helped with the 3rd Annual Pumpkin Luminary Trail on Tuesday evening.
Conservation Crew is an extracurricular program for middle schoolers customized to meet each school’s unique needs. Students develop leadership skills by designing and implementing conservation projects to impact their schools and communities. Projects are as diverse as the Crews themselves but center around conservation, clean water, clean air, outdoor recreation,
or climate change.
We'd like to invite other students to participate as well! We meet on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month in Mrs. Schimek's biology classroom. Being that there is no school next Monday, our next official meeting will be on Monday, Nov. 17.
Conservation Crew is supported by Conservation Minnesota. They require all students in our local group to be registered (see forms below) by next Friday, November 7. If you have a student who is interested in joining, please register them asap. Contact Megan Schimek at meschimek@pineisland.k12.mn.us with any questions!
