Ms. Schmidt teaches special education.
She works with students in grades 7-12. Jan grew up in Arlington, MN. Her alma
mater is now known as Sibley East High School. Jan received her BS from the University
of Minnesota, Morris and her MS from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Prior
to teaching in Pine Island, Jan spent a number of years teaching in the Hayfield
and Rochester school districts. Jan enjoys supporting Pine Island athletics and

Mrs. Rosenthal teaches special education grades 6-12. She graduated from Hamline
University with a BA, and attended Minnesota State University where she received
her special education licensure. Mrs. Rosenthal is currently working on her master's
degree in special education. She began teaching at Pine Island in 2003. She lives
on a farm in Zumbrota and raises horses. Mrs. Rosenthal is married and has 3 children
and enjoys reading, scrapbooking, and spending time with her children. |
