Technology and Engineering

The Technology and Engineering department focuses on all four content areas of technology education; communication, construction, manufacturing, and power, energy, and transportation technology. Each course offered at Pine Island will focus on one or more of these content areas. Students taking a course in this department will be granted the opportunity to work with current technologies that exist out in the real world. A majority of the course work will center on gaining the knowledge and training to work, or continue education in any area of technology. Using problem solving skills to design solutions for any problem will also be a major theme of the Technology and Engineering classes.
