6th Grade General Music

All 6th grade students have Music as one of their quarterly exploratory classes.

Our mission in 6th grade Music is: Music For All. We will besinging, performing, listening, reading, writing, and describing music. We will be learning to do some "urban drumming" on five gallon pails.
 
Grading:
A = Exceeds expectations
B = Meets expectations
C = Partially meets expectations
D = Does not meet expectations
F = no attempt
 
There will be weekly written quizzes (on Fridays) and a weekly skills test. A major part of the final grade will be a composition assignment. Students are also graded on classroom participation and they must earn some "Maestro" points to be eligible for an "A or B".
